Rothsville placed the new engine 2-10-2 in service Wednesday evening 8/19/09. I have listed below the general specifications for the engine. Engine 2-10-2 will be first due on all calls including mutual aid with the exception of vehicle accidents. It will also be the unit we utilize for transfer assignments. We will continue to run engine 2-10-1 first on vehicle accidents and related type calls. While the engine has an onboard cascade system it will not be multi tasked as an air unit. Our primary objective with this engine was to enhance our suppression resources primarily supply line capacity and hand line assortment.
