2003 Fire Prevention Programs

Rothsville Fire Company personnel conducted fire prevention programs at local
schools and day cares the weeks of October 6th and 13th. This was the 45th
year that the company has conducted such programs. Claude Young, Sr. initiated
the programs in the Rothsville community when he took office as the fire chief
in 1958. The programs moved to Kissel Hill Elementary with the closing of the
Rothsville School. It has expanded into all elementary schools in Warwick
Township and many of the day cares in the area. See the remainder of the Fire
Prevention section for more information.

The fire company was assisted by the Rothsville Ambulance and the Brickerville,
Brunnerville, and Lititz Fire Companies.
